The company offers the LifeCare Discount Center to give its employees access to a wide range of discounted products and services including travel, computers, mobile phones, home decorating and clothes.

Is it spring break again? Booz Allen Hamilton’s Washington, DC–based employees don’t have to worry about child care for holidays like Columbus Day, when school’s out but work’s still in session. Working with the City of Chicago, Children’s Memorial Hospital has created a home-buying program that includes deferred low-interest loans of up to $40,000 to help cover down payments and closing costs. There’s even a special $10,000 incentive for people buying homes in certain neighborhoods.

Homework Hotline
Stumped by your child’s assignments?  Intel offers employees and their children and grandchildren free access to online tutoring in math, English, science and social sciences. It seems to be working: Of those who used the program, 92 percent said  that grades improved.

Every female employee up to age 26 at Carlson—and any female family members ages 9 to 26—enrolled in the company’s health plan can receive the HPV vaccine, which can protect against cervical cancer and other HPV diseases.

To promote healthy habits and lifestyles, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare offers the Weight Watchers program on-site at a discounted rate. Nearly 300 employees participated in the JumpStart program, a six-week motivational challenge, and received points for healthy eating, physical activity and stress management. Participants later redeemed their points for gift cards at retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Sports Authority. Their total weight loss? Drumroll, please…an impressive 4,500 pounds!
